Yes, we know you love your bakkies, South Africa. So we've decided to publish a list of best-selling pickups every month.
After the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (Naamsa) releases the figures for new vehicle sales each month, we'll slap together a list of the top ten best-selling bakkies.
Of course, nothing came even close to toppling the Toyota Hilux in May 2012. The Chevrolet Utility just managed to hold off the Nissan NP200 to take second spot. From here on down — besides the fact that the Mahindra Scorpio Pik-Up snuck back in at ten, relegating the Mazda BT-50 — positions remained the same as in April.
So, not much change then. South Africa's bakkie-buying public clearly knows what it wants.
