Hamann-Motorsport, the renowned BMW specialist, put its magic touch to the BMW X6 M at the 81st International Motor Show in Geneva. The resulting creation, known as the Tycoon Evo M, puts out 493kW and achieves a top speed of 300km/h.
The car was designed to be broad, with the front mudguards and rear extensions adding to the look. The car is 60mm wider than the standard model and sports newly-designed side skirts. Hamann added their hallmark on the front with LED running lights.
The body kit has enlarged air inlets in the front and the carbon bonnet also provides an optimised air supply to the engine compartment. At the rear, Hamann replaced the original apron with a new design that accomodates the sports exhaust system with centre double-end pipes. They added rear- and roof spoilers that generate a low-swirl air flow over the car silhouette and provide additional downforce.
Optimised exhaust gas stream
Hamann's engine department developed a powerful performance enhancement for the engine. The key part of the power increase is a titanium high-performance exhaust system with catalyst replacement pipes, which also renders a dynamic and earthy sound. A newly programmed engine map removes the 250km/h top speed limit.
The modified X6 M develops 493kW at 6000rpm and 950Nm of torque between 1500 – 5650rpm. This is an additional 85kW and 100Nm compared to the standard Model. This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 4.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 300km/h.
Rim designs
Hamann offer the upgraded X6 M with a 23-inch wheel in 11.0x23 at the front and 12.0x23 at the rear axle with tyres sized 315/25 R 23.
A lowering kit enhances the light alloy rims. Progressively coiled springs at the front axle and a refining kit for the rear axle lower the car's centre of gravity by approximately 40mm.
Hamann had specialist firm Mov'It develop a cermaic high-performance braking system which is distinguished by its orange callipers. Six-piston calipers on 420mm x 40mm discs at the front and four-piston calipers on 380mm x 32mm discs at the rear provide optimal deceleration.
Salmon, anyone?
Hamann offers exotic nanai salmon leather as an upholstery choice. This natural product combines the characteristic structure of salmon skin with the qualities of conventional interior leathers.
Pedals and foot rests made of aluminium, illuminated door protection sills, a three-spoke sports steering wheel and a practical boot mat are part of the packge.
