A motorist has been caught on camera attempting to park a bulky people-carrier in a large bay... and failing horribly.

The video starts soon after the person behind the wheel attempts what should be a pretty simple manoeuvre. What makes things worse is the fact that the next bay is also empty — should be a doddle, right?

Wrong. For the next minute and a half, the driver edges forward and reverses over and over again, trying to line up in the bay. At one point, a woman and a small dog come trotting past, with the pooch probably not aware of the danger of walking so close to what could be the world's worst parker.

Did the driver succeed? Nope, in the end he or she gives up, mounts the pavement, and drives off over the lawn. Parking Bay 1-0 Parker.
