A spectator has filmed the consequences of a wheel falling off a Porsche 911 GT3 RS 3.8 at the Nürburgring.

It's not entirely clear whether the loose wheel was the cause of the crash, or a result. Whatever the case, the flying alloy came perilously close to hitting one of the amateur cameramen.

The accident starts just off camera at Pflanzgarten 2, a particularly difficult section of legendary track.
