A Honda Civic owner who hit his girlfriend and dragged her by the hair at a car show had his pride and joy trashed by an angry mob.

According to reports, the Civic owner became abusive towards his girlfriend at a weekly car show on Long Island. He was reportedly confronted by a number of other men attending the show, who he then attempted to run down with his vehicle.

According to eyewitnesses, the next half an hour was spent chasing the man and his girlfriend. Eventually, they surrounded his car, and he fled with his lady friend.

As the video below shows, his abandoned Civic was smashed by the angry crowd, and eventually flipped over onto its roof.
