A motoring journalist has been filmed inadvertently riding a brand new Yamaha off a pier.
Laurent Cochet, a journalist with French magazine Moto Journal, was testing the new Yamaha FJR 1300 in Saint Martin en Ré when suddenly everything went wrong.
It all started when one of the Yamaha's panniers hits a rather solid bollard. The jolt sees Cochet lose his balance and steer the motorcycle right off the dock. Both the rider and the bike smash into an innocent sailboat below.
Cochet reportedly escaped serious injury, walking away with a sprained finger and a few bruises.
