Dashcam footage from Russia shows a one-year-old — who wasn't strapped into a carseat — being ejected from a vehicle during a crash, right into the path of an oncoming truck.
The incident — which took place in Moscow — was caught by the dashboard camera of another vehicle.
The video shows a Mitsubishi Outlander losing control on an icy road and spinning into an oncoming truck. The rear-end of the SUV takes the brunt of the blow, and the one-year-old girl is flung from the vehicle.
A second truck thankfully manages to slow down in time and avoid crushing the little girl, before the driver hurries over and scoops her up.
According to reports, the 53-year-old Mitsubishi driver was faulted by police for placing the small child "like a doll" on the rear parcel shelf under the back windshield, rather than in a carseat.
The child sustained injuries to her face and head, and was reportedly sent to hospital.
If you ever needed any more encouragement to strap your kids into their carseats, this is it. Watch the video below.
