The Sauber F1 team has released a short video revealing what goes on under the skin of a Formula 1 car.

Over the past two years, Sauber's mechanics have spent their spare time literally slicing an F1 car down the middle. The resulting video provides plenty of insight for the typical F1 fan.

In the clip, Chief Designer Matt Morris takes the viewer through the various parts of the car, and explains a number of the systems used.

Towards the end of the video, Mexican driver Sergio Perez turns up to demonstrate the driver's position. Not a very easy thing to do in half an F1 car, as you can imagine...
