Scott Dixon claimed his second victory of the season and 29th of his career by winning the IndyCar Series race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Sunday.

It marked the fourth time the 32-year-old Kiwi has won on the course to go with victories in 2011, 2009 and 2007.

Will Power finished second to re-take the lead in the overall points standings.

Dixon, who was born in Brisbane, Australia to New Zealand parents, beat Power out of the pits when both drivers made their final stops with 28 laps to go.

Power, who started from the pole and led the first 56 laps, finished 3.4 seconds behind Dixon.

The 85-lap race on the 2.258-mile, 13-turn Mid-Ohio course finished caution free. It the second straight IndyCar race that did not include any caution flags.

Rookie Simon Pagenaud placed third, while Sebastien Bourdais and James Hinchcliffe rounded out the top five.
