Porsche has refined the 911 to a supreme standard of class and style in its 911 Sport Classic, which will be available to a strictly limited number of enthusiasts.

In creating this unique model, Porsche brings back the tradition of its exclusive series built in limited numbers.

The 911 Sport Classic will be presented at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and is limited in production to just 250 cars.

This very special 911 from Porsche Exclusive has been developed over a period of about three years, with lots of love for detail, catering especially for the most demanding group of genuine aficionados.

Porsche Exclusive is Porsche's specialist department for its most outstanding customised versions that go beyond even the high standards of the company's production models.

The unique character of this model is apparent in the newly developed double-dome roof. A further highlight is the wider rear body, which stretches by 4.4cm, and the wider track on the rear axle.

The front apron and its spoiler lip and the rear spoiler fixed in position like a salute to the legendary 1973 Carrera RS 2.7, rounds off the unmistakable look.

Power comes from a 3.8-litre, direct fuel injection engine. A specially-developed intake manifold with six vacuum-controlled switching flaps ups power output to 304kW.

The engine drives a six-speed, manual transmission. Ceramic composite brakes beneath 19-inch alloys provide the stopping power.

For those who won't make it into the exclusive club of 250, a high-quality 1:43 scale model of the 911 Sport Classic will be available for purchase.
