Potholes are a major hazard which not only damages the tyres of your car but can also affect the suspension whilst driving through it.
A solution has been created to assist motorists along disintegrating highways. According to Daily Mail, over the past two years, Michelin's Acorus amalgam has been developed. It features tough but flexible rubber flanges built directly into the metal rim where it meets the tyre.
At the launch of this new tyre in Montreal, Michelin research and development boss Terry Gettys said that "It should completely eliminate road-based damage. Acorus also performs better than a standard tyre on rutted roads."
Although this initiative is noteworthy, the main priority should in fact be maintenance of roads.
A figure will be announced at the Frankfurt motor show in September says Daily Mail.
