New pictures of the Mercedes Benz SLS have surfaced. This time the car is not cloaked or covered in duct tape.
The gullwing revival in these images appears to have quite a bit of American muscle built into it. The front has a large intake and the bonnet curves downward in a long slope.
The 420kW, 6.3-litre V8 SLS AMG has dry sump lubrication, a seven-speed transmission, aluminium double-wishbone sports suspension and an aluminium spaceframe chassis.
The gullwing doors provide an ideal weight distribution and an ultra-low centre of gravity in a most uncompromising sports car concept.
The engine's power is aided by no less than 650Nm of peak torque generated at 4750rpm. The 260kW-per-tonne charge pushes the SLS from zero to 100km/h in just 3.8 seconds. Top speed is a claimed 315km/h.
It's not often you hear of a company that wants a zero score - but Renault's plans depend on it.
