Honda has announced that it will show off its Personal-Neo Urban Transport (P-Nut) design study model at the Los Angeles Auto Show on December 2.

The Japanese car maker's advanced design studio, which encompasses all aspects of new vehicle research, design and development, is responsible for the device’s creation

There is little other information forthcoming from Honda, but Autoblog.com reports that company officials have said they will be following last year's pattern of showing an advanced concept in Los Angeles, followed up with a new production model at the Detroit Show.

According to Autoblog, the P-Nut is likely to be very small coupe, inspired by the U3-X unicycle that made an appearance at the Tokyo show and similar to what General Motors tried to do with the Segway-based Puma concept.

After watching a video of the U3-X in action, we think the only way these are going to catch on in the rest of the world is if they produce a sports version that doesn’t make the rider look like a nut as well.
