A 1960 Ferrari California 250 LWB Spider Competizione has been sold to an anonymous collector for over R91-million at Pebble Beach.
The extremely rare model comes from the collection of Sherman M Wolf, who had bought it from its first owner in 1979.
At the same auction, other wonderful Ferraris from the same collection came under the hammer, such as the 1985 288 GTO, which sold for R8.3-million, and a 340 MM Spider, which sold for almost R37.4-million.
Pebble Beach also featured the US debut of the Ferrari F12berlinetta and the handover of a personalised FF to the British golfer Ian Poulter.
