I'd assume around 1000 watts, people need not worry about load shedding as the only time you'll need to recharge is when you've reached 200kms (that'll be about 4 days driving for me), at the moment we pay energy cot of 38.52c/kWh \"During Low Season\", charging for 7 hours will cost a mere R2.69 depending on the energy used to recharge  (Bye Bye to spending +R220 on fuel to travel only 200 km).
