He earned it!<br />Both Toyotas did a 1.44 lap on the last lap, that cannot be fabricated no matter how much they tried to. Massa was gifted 14 points this year and still could not win. Its my opinion Massa will never be world champ because Lewis's biggest problem is going to be Vettel and a competitive Alonso. Other than the race that Vettel won, most of the meorable and brillaint races of 2008 were by Lewis. In the final race it is patently obvious that McL detuned Lewis to such an extent that he could not even defend himself against Vettel in the last lap and because they had a a low downforce setup, it nearly cost Lewis the DWC. If one considers the amount of racial abuse Lewis has had to endure , it alone makes this victory so sweet, but he won on merit NOT LUCK if you take your blinkers off that is.. Muerte");

Well deserved by Hamilton, but one can't help but wonder what would the championship be like if Massa did not have to endure numerous woes such as in Singapore and mechanical problems. document.write("what was sad about sunday is that Lewis was not allowed to drive his usual aggressive self as McL were prepared to sacrifice evrything for the win and in so doing Lewis has come off second best because the perception isthat Massa was more comprehensive in victory at Interlagos. That strategy will definitely have dented Lewis's image.<br />But luck? When he trounced the opposition at Silverstone in the wet Scumy acknowledged the greatness of that drive, and Belgium? and Monaco> Did Ferrari gift him the win in China? Were was the luck in China. If u have driven an F1 car then you should know better. I have not but I have owned a BG V8 Capri at 19 and even more decent stuff thereafter to know just how supreme he was at Silverstone I dont think so. That was not luck. People with alot more savvy and knowledge about F1 in the paddock,  were unanimous in saying that he was detuned for the race and just to repeat that BOTH Toytas did a 1.44. You cannot ochestrate that at the best of times and in the wet? Paleeeze! Anyway for me he is great and that is how it will remain. I am a Kimi fan and have always been, but I am not so blind as to not recognise talent when I see it and Lewis's challenge is Vettel and still Alonso, and only occasionally like this year will it be Massa and in truth if the Renault is competitive next year Massa will not feature even Lewis will have un uphill task against Alonso because he is very tough mentally. document.write("I'm a Kimi fan too and he has to be the unluckiest driver ever, from slipping on oil while leading in France in 2002, to blowing his engine in Nurburgring 2003 while having a pitstop in his pocket and in the lead to breaking his suspension in 2005 on the last lap, so before people go on a tirade about luck, think of that.
