True Colours coming through
"); document.write("I have always felt the Hamilton's true colours would come through one day.
Granted he is a talented driver, and could be one of the greats, but there is a side to him where winning is the most important thing, and stuff everyone and everthing else.
This has been shown in his younger years from carting and all the way up through the ranks.
Nothing wrong with being competative and agresive on the track, but cheating and lieing is one step to far.
Hope he leaves in disgrace...after what he did, he deserves too.. Paul"); document.write("
Mclaren
"); document.write("I don't think it's Hamilton who is to blame here. Mclaren is rotten to the core. They have a culture of cheating and that is how the British do busines.. David"); document.write("
Cheat
"); document.write("Hendrik Verwoed I do not remember Ferrari ever telling their drivers to cheat or lie, granted some racing ethics with overtaking were questionable to say the least but never cheates.David remember it takes two to tango and I think the team is taking all the flack for a cheating Lewis, after this he will be known as a lying cheat not a potential great champion. He should be kicked out of F1. Eyetie"); document.write("

"); document.write("The protectionism for the british drivers is incredible, even the tv commentators were trying to cover for hamilton. the truth is he was caught lying and he was also part of a team that were caught buying secret information. What they all conveniently missed is the skullduggery is being commited by the british members of F1 , kinda makes you think doesn't it.. frank"); document.write("

"); document.write("Whoa folks....don't point fingers so easily at the British as a whole.
There have been many great formula1 teams and drivers of the past/present who are thourough gentleman and fair players....maybe some at MC are a bit rotten....but leave it there.....the brits are not all bad....... Francois ( SA boertjie )"); document.write("

"); document.write("I must admit McLaren have messed up severely here and could not agree more with this colum.

My question is, is a fine or loss of points a fair penalty for Melbourne? Coupled with the 2007 spying saga it is my opinion that McLaren should be banned for the next six races. It would appear that a $100 million fine and no points have not impacted on McLaren's thinking but per haps a six race ban might.

Toyota Fan. . Jack Ruis"); document.write("
Don't forget Schumi
"); document.write("Please before we blast Hamilton, just remember the numerous Ferrari/Schumi dirty play. Win at all costs, force drivers into accident situations when Schumi could not beat them... yeah if any team and driver should be lambasted it should be the Mafia owned Ferrari and the false champion Kraut who is nothing more than a dishonest cheat!! Viva the Enlish teams!!. Will Tell"); document.write("
McLaren = Lie Cheat Steal
"); document.write("No good scum , lying, cheating, spying bastards. As for lyin lewis, his image is ####. Schumi was the greatest. . Hanman"); document.write("
Hendrik - you got it wrong!
"); document.write("McLaren have been found guilty of cheating, not Lewis Hamilton. He is an employee, and was intstructed to do so. I have more respect for him now than I did before. It is unfair to make your comment Hendrik and i disagree that he will remembered as a cheat. His driving talent will very soon be the next talking point. Lewis is unfortunately the centre of attraction for the team, just like any other driver, and for once he has stood up against the team. . Pete "); document.write("

"); document.write("Michael Schumacher, in Jerez, in 1997, who remembers what he did to Villeneuve? The television cameras captured that he deliberately turned into Jacques...(almost like he did to Hill in 1994 in Adelaide)...
So why don't we remember Michael for those two incidents in particular?
And if you want to talk about dirty driving, were you watching F1 in the days of Senna?

Give the guy a break!. Pete"); document.write("
Lewis
"); document.write("I have to agree that Lewis will carry this stigma for a very long time, but I wonder how many that have made comments here would be able to withstand the pressure that a driver is under in his position and that includes the writer Verwoerd.
Whether its Alonso Michael Lewis Massa or whoever, its most times the sponsors who call the shots that teams survive on and as such decisions are taken on the spur of the moment taking many many factors in to account. Sometimes they are the wrong decisions and when you are caught out you are branded a cheat or a liar or whatever, and conversely if you are not caught and that move pans out to your advantage , you get a pat on the back and yet you know u lied. This happens all the time and has happened in nearly every racing drivers life as indeed it has happened in all our lives. We are just not important enough to be scrutinised on the international scene. Be thankful for that or we would all be caught out Without Exception.
As for Lewis, he is a brilliant driver and whether he is a cheat or a liar , it will never detract from the fact that he is a brilliant driver in the same way that I think Michael is despicable but brilliant.
Let us therefore acknowledge their talents and skills and not be the first to cast stones lest we be free of such sins. . Radar"); document.write("
